Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) Treatment

CUI is among the most persistent challenges in the oil, gas, and process industries, often developing unnoticed beneath insulation due to trapped moisture, temperature variations, and environmental exposure. BIEWU’s advanced VpCI® solutions deliver both active and vapor-phase corrosion protection, reaching concealed areas beneath insulation where conventional coatings cannot — ensuring comprehensive and long-lasting defense for critical assets.
A key advantage of Cortec’s approach is the use of CorroLogic® CUI Inhibitors incorporating VpCI® Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor technology. Certain CorroLogic® solutions can be injected directly into existing insulation, where the corrosion-inhibiting vapor migrates through the insulation and forms a protective molecular layer on the underlying metal surface. This allows CUI protection to be introduced without necessarily removing and replacing the existing insulation, reducing the disruption associated with conventional treatment methods.
Cortec offers solutions for different operating conditions and temperature ranges.
